How would you tell the WHQ story?

Donna wrote this when we were working on a revised Spiral Introduction ot Wisdom Healing Qigong.  Each of us as teachers need to be able to tell the Wisdom Healing Qigong story.  So its good to hear variations on the theme.  How would you tell the story?

Wisdom Healing Qigong is the use of the mind’s intelligence to direct chi to transform, perfect, and improve the conscious potential of the holistic body, thereby uplifting the consciousness of the practitioner from an automated condition to that of autonomous wisdom.” - Dr. Pang Ming

Chi is the state of pure energy. It is the form and the formless. All things are expressions of chi. It is the source of all life. Nothing is without chi. It is the creative power of the universe, and the universe itself. It is the butterfly and its flight, the rose and its scent. Our own lives are expressions of chi, yet we cannot measure it.

Therefore, living beings can never be without chi. To heal, we must know this chi for what it is, gather, nurture, and share it with others. By connecting with chi, we experience the oneness of the universe, and can tap into its power.

Qigong originated through 7000 years of Chinese cosmology, which finds the roots of human life in nature, from the cosmos to the smallest life form. We share chi with all of life and are linked to all the universe. Qigong is the cultivation and direction of this life energy. Through movement, visualization, sound, breathing, and conscious intention, qigong gently restores life energy and creative power. Qigong releases the underlying constricted energetic patterns that cause disease, and allows the body to reconnect with the universe and heal naturally through a free flow of chi.

Qigong Grandmaster Pang Ming, a doctor in both Western and Chinese traditions, developed Wisdom Healing Qigong in the 1980s in China. Dr. Pang’s system relies on cultivation of the human spirit to access the energy of nature. WHQ practices refine our consciousness to enhance the state of chi in the body, bringing the mind to a higher state. In 1987 Dr. Pang opened the world’s largest medicine-less hospital “Huaxia Zuineng Qigong Training and Recovery Center.” Patients were diagnosed by medical professionals, and then assigned to qigong teachers. Through twenty years of scientific study and over 3000 research papers WHQ was developed into a scientific system to heal disease and enhance the quality of life.

Master Mingtong Gu completed advanced degrees in the Math and Art in the US before returning to China in 1997 to study with Dr. Pang at the Medicine-less hospital. Through his own practice, Master Gu healed himself of asthma and scoliosis. He witnessed the healing of thousands of people with chronic and “incurable” diseases. Today, he enjoys his life passion, purpose, and fulfillment in helping his students activate the power of inner self healing, which facilitates the release of illness, improving health and realizing human potential.

The vision of Wisdom Healing Qigong is heal ourselves, our world—to realize human potential through the conscious evolution of mind and body, resulting in harmony, self-realization, integration and awakening, through a sustainable practice.

In 2008 Master Gu opened The Chi Center in Petaluma, CA. The center’s mission is to facilitate the integration of mind, body, and spirit through sharing the skill, knowledge, love, and energy of the ancient art and new science of Wisdom Healing Qigong. The Chi Center offers weekly and online classes, webinar, weekend programs, community healing events, teacher training, Healing Intensive Retreats, books, cds, dvds, and an on-going support system to facilitate the healing practice of the individual and collective.
