Master Mingtong Gu awarded
the World Qigong Master of the Year
by 13th Qigong World Congress

The 13th Qigong World Congress announced Master Mingtong Gu of the Chi Center is awarded World Qigong Master of the Year at the Annual World Qigong Congress and Gala Dinner.

San Francisco, CA 4 May 2011 Master Mingtong Gu was presented with the World Qigong Master of the Year Award by Dr. Effie Chow before a sold-out crowd at the 13th Annual World Qigong Congress Gala in San Francisco. Mingtong Gu is founder of The Chi Center (www.chicenter.com <http://www.chicenter.com> ) in Petaluma, CA and a trained master and world teacher in the ancient and modern practice of Qigong. Dr. Chow added that “Master Gu was selected for his important accomplishments in his Qigong teachings and for building world awareness of Qigong’s benefit for today’s world”.

“I am humbled and honored to be awarded World Qigong Master of the Year. I feel gratitude for all the teachers over thousands of years who come before me, and all those practitioners teaching now.” Master Gu added “ I will continue my work ahead, for this ancient wisdom is needed for our modern times.”

“Why live a life with only one candle lit, when we have the sun within us waiting to shine? So much is possible in all of us by doing Qigong. With Qigong a mother lives more joy and so can teach more joy, a nurse renews calm and so can be calm in crises, an elder builds balance and stays mobile longer, and a cancer patient builds whole strength and is better prepared for treatment and recovery. The world can be a better place when we activate the energy of love and wisdom consciously and skillfully. The tools were discovered long ago, now it’s simply getting the word out to begin the practice.”
